Duties
- Translate engineering constraints into spacecraft’s structure, mechanisms and/or dispenser concepts and assess their feasibility
- Carry out overall design studies and issue consistent 3D parts and assemblies
- Establish the design file of a product (configuration, drawings, stack-up analysis, material and treatments) and support the procurement process
- Define interface files and validation of the integration with suppliers and launch authority
- Support the testing activities with adequate tooling designs (Ground Support Equipment)
Must have
- BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field
- Ability to work across the team and company to drive designs to completion
- Basic knowledge of 3D/2D CAD packages (preferably SolidWorks) or willing to migrate from CATIA, Creo,… to SolidWorks platform
- Willing to learn knowledge about spacecrafts and related fields
- Good communication skills
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
- Task automation skills through scripts (Python)
- Skills regarding CAD model versioning and configuration management (PDM)
- Good knowledge of manufacturing technologies and drawings
