Duties
- Perform mechanical and thermo-mechanical justification of structures. Confront the prediction with test results
- Translate engineering constraints into spacecraft’s structure and/or mechanisms concepts and assess their feasibility
- Perform concept trade-off, carry out overall design studies and validate the product through extensive testing
- Definition of interface files and validation of the integration with suppliers’ components and launcher
Must have
- MSc or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of work experience in finite-elements (FEMAP, Nastran, FEMtools,…) in the field of Structural Dynamics
- Demonstrated ability to work across the team and company to drive designs to completion.
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
- Vibration testing experience (including damping assessment, experimental modal analysis, and correlation)
- Knowledge of 3D CAD modelling / 2D drawing specifications (SolidWorks), experience with sizing of metallic components, and manufacturing technologies and drawings
- Experience with space environment requirements
- Task automation skills through scripts (Python)
- Experienced in troubleshooting issues and finding solutions
