Finite Element Analysis Engineer


Louvain-la-Neuve or Leuven (Belgium), Toulouse (France) or full remote



  • Perform mechanical and thermo-mechanical justification of structures. Confront the prediction with test results 
  • Translate engineering constraints into spacecraft’s structure and/or mechanisms concepts and assess their feasibility 
  • Perform concept trade-off, carry out overall design studies and validate the product through extensive testing 
  • Definition of interface files and validation of the integration with suppliers’ components and launcher 


Must have

  • MSc or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field 
  • 2+ years of work experience in finite-elements (FEMAP, Nastran, FEMtools,…) and mechanical design 
  • Demonstrated ability to work across the team and company to drive designs to completion. 
  • Fluency in English 


Nice to have 

  • Vibration testing experience (including damping assessment, experimental modal analysis, and correlation) 
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD modelling  / 2D drawing specifications (SolidWorks), experience with sizing of metallic components, and manufacturing technologies and drawings 
  • Experience with space environment requirements 
  • Task automation skills through scripts (Python) 
  • Experienced in troubleshooting issues and finding solutions
