IT – Junior System Engineer

We’re seeking a junior system engineer who’s  eager to use and grow his/her technological skills on a worldwide stage. In this role, the successful individual will protect our critical information, systems, and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in the development of an overall IT strategy. From early on, you’ll help empower our breakthrough innovations, be given challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and take ownership and responsibility. Duties

• Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
• Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
• Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
• Helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
• Will be part of our infrastructure evolution to the cloud.

Must have

• Master, PhD or bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
• Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
• Knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
• Experience with scripting and automation tools

Technical Skills

• General IT knowledge
• Knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
• Knowledge of O365, (azure)Active Directory
• Knowledge of OVH Cloud plateform is a plus
• Knowledge of virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware)
• Knowledge of Backup Systems (Veeam, backup exec…)
• Knowledge of Windows Server
• Knowledge of Firewalls, routing, wifi systems
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Stress tolerance
• Powershell knowledge
• Knowledge of French and English
