Aerospacelab France develops SML (space mobility & logistics) payloads & platforms.
As mechanical engineer, your role will be to manage mechanical interfaces between sub-systems and perform mechanical analysis and defined validation tests
Duties
- Define spacecraft mechanical architecture, perform concepts trade-off, carry out overall design studies and validate the products through extensive testing and simulations
- Define the mechanical interfaces for the vehicle and for the sub-systems
- Carry out the testing activities: support to assembly, mechanical validation and prediction, Ground Support Equipment definition
- Contribution of the exploitation of flight data
Must have
- MSc degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or related field
- Demonstrated ability to work across the team and company to drive mechanical designs to completion in full autonomy
- Demonstrated ability to define and carry out mechanical testing (vibration test)
- 2/5y+ experience in mechanical design
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
- Experience in various mechanical software (Solidworks – Ansys) will be strongly appreciated
- Experience with space environment requirements will be strongly appreciated
