Optical Engineer





  • Participate to the definition of optical systems for on-going projects (on board and ground-based hardware and test setups, telescopes, mirrors, etc.)
  • Participate to the estimations of systems technical budgets, perform opto-mechanical tolerancing and defining optical elements specifications
  • Define the assembly, integration and validation (AIV) and other test activities of the optical systems, as well as associated test plans
  • Participate to AIV and other test activities and establish the optical performance budget of the tested system


Must have

  • Optical engineer training or physicist engineer or MSc in physics
  • 3+ years experience in optical design, manufacturing, testing or AIV
  • Comfortable to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Good knowledge of English


Nice to have

  • Experience with Zemax or comparable optical software
  • Experience in space industry or in optical manufacturing
  • Knowledge in optical measurement methods
  • Innovative, driven, out of the box thinker, self-motivated to investigate and implement new ideas, and proactive in overcoming obstacles
  • Very strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills
