Duties
- Prepare, design and execute tests for prototypes of opto-mechatronic systems, as well as the test data acquisition, processing, analysis and reporting. Especially applied (but not limited to) optical ground station equipment
- You use the testing equipment available and adapt it to specific tests
- This will also include a large design work for test equipment, assist in prototype development, operations etc
- Extending the capabilities of our test facilities or building entirely new test setups is part of your job
- You provide input to the rest of the team from a testing perspective and feed their input back
Must have
- MSc in University Degree in electromechanical engineering (preferred), electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar
- Open to juniors: no previous work experience required, but a strong motivation to learn and work on multidisciplinary tasks
- Knowledge or experience/interest in environmental testing
- Measurement concepts and tools and their application in practice
- Data acquisition and measurement automation
- Data analysis, plotting and reporting
- Knowledge of a scripting language like Python, C++,…
- Hands-on abilities and adaption skills
Nice to have
- Experience with front-end development
- Experience with Robot control (ROS)
- Experience with optical components and systems: laser diodes, optical fibers (principles and handling), photodiodes…
- Experience with industrial automation systems (ex. Beckhoff)
